Brownfields

As defined by the USEPA a Brownfield is “real property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant” Beacon provides Brownfields assessments, remedial oversight, grant application assistance, and grant oversight assistance.  We have an approved EPA generic Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) which allows us to move forward with Brownfields projects quickly.  With experience since 1999 performing Brownfields projects, we have the ability to navigate what can seem to be a daunting task and bring projects to successful redevelopment.

Additionally, Beacon is poised to help prepare your Brownfields Grant Funding Applications to the USEPA.  Whether you are pursuing money to assess or cleanup properties, we have the experience to develop a winning proposal.

I have been working with John Cressey to identify and remediate environmental issues for more than a decade.  During that time John has always been responsive, cost effective and proactive.  His depth of experience and knowledge lead to pragmatic solutions that meet regulatory approvals.  He is a partner in our Brownfield redevelopment efforts, helping to identify and secure funding. He is a pleasure to work with.Lincoln Jeffers, Economic and Community Development Director, City of Lewiston, Maine
