We recently completed a Phase I ESA and a Phase II ESA on a vacant lot at an airport in southern Maine for a client. The vacant lot had been used by a precast concrete company and was proximal to the airport runway potentially exposing it to hazardous chemicals. We completed soil borings, monitoring well sampling and soil gas sampling to determine if impacts were present above the Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s guidance.
